• To Gas Authority of India (GAIL) would supply gas to Barauni fertiliser factory and its 250-300 Mw power plant at Bettiah through its 1,400 km Jagdishpur-Haldia pipeline by 2012.
• ACC is expected to restructure its product prices across the country within a fortnight, with a combination of cuts and hikes. The company, which is taking its overall capacity to 30.58 million tonnes by 2010 from the current 22.63 million tonnes, has presence in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
• On issues ranging from immigrant visas to bilateral trade and individual business ventures, Indian companies, including top corporate entity RIL and industry body Nasscom, are paying thousands of dollars on lobbying with lawmakers and government departments in the US.
• The country's largest realty player, DLF on Saturday said it has bought back over 76.38 lakh equity shares worth Rs 140.69 crore and will close the offer with effect from May 6.
• Solar power firm Cobol Technologies, owned by Deepak and Ratul Puri of Moser Baer, has raised about $30 million, or about Rs 151 crore, from Pangea Emerging Infrastructure Fund, in return for a minority stake.
• Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries has bought back US energy giant Chevron Corp's five per cent stake in Reliance Petroleum for Rs 1,350 crore.
• The US partner, Wabco and TVS group are set to part ways by totally divesting their balance stake in favour of each other in the two joint ventures, Sundaram- Clayton ( SCL) and Wabco- TVS.
